It wasn't rendered enough...but that wasn't the point...the point was to get the fluid sim to work...which it did :D

Great shot, too bad it's not appreciated enough, people don't know how hard it is to make fluid look real in 3D.

:la: thanks. I might try this scene again this summer. I think with just a few tweaks I can get it a lot better. Also, I think the problem that a lot of people have with 3d fluids is that they really don't know what fluids look like in slow motion. Like someone watches and says, that looks too spherical or something and it's like, water looks that way in real life, it just is usually motion blurred so much and so quick you don't notice.

Does realflow hook up to maxwell directly or I have to tweek it a tad bit~

you have to export the mesh from realflow to .obj and then put it into maxwell....it's not difficult

do you mean the material or the actual sim?

it only takes a few minutes to simulate the fluid in realflow...it's fast enough that I can watch it

dont render it anymore! the slight fuzz maxwell gives makes a nice effect ^^ (you still use maxwell right?)
