My final version of Caladbolg...I decided to remake it after someone showed some interest in the older version.

Modeled with blender and rendered with Maxwell 2

The blade is porcelain...because it doesn't look anything like metal in any of the pictures

Well, I don't have cardboard sword adventures anymore (I learned from my Buster sword. It was fine for a sword of that size and shape, but yeah) I'm more of a foam core, soft foam and wire person. It's not heavy like metal, wood or fiberglass, it's con-ready (it won't hurt anybody because it's too soft) and it's easily fixed if something breaks or scuffs off.

Make it out of a ceramic.

Oh dear, no, that would break too easily. I take stuff like that to conventions. Also, ceramic for such a large sword would be way too heavy for me.

I don't mean clay. I mean a technical ceramic like a carbide. It wasn't a serious suggestion. You should cast one out of magnesium...super light and strong
